Champions of Caring

Speeches and Workshops

Barbara G. Shaiman,
Inspirational Speeches and Workshops

So often, we hear people say, "I have done so much but still feel a void" or "Is this all there is"? As a motivational speaker, trainer and consultant, Barbara Shaiman helps people address these issues by providing them with the opportunity to explore their passions, areas of interest, and skills in order to become involved in making their community a better place. In doing this reflection, they will enrich their own lives as well and begin to address the needs of their local and global communities. Barbara's presentations and workshops teach participants how to use their business skills and personal abilities to become social entrepreneurs who "champion" an idea in order to create sustainable change locally or globally.

Barbara is the daughter of Holocaust survivors. Her mother Carola Greenspan is the sole survivor of a family of 65 people and her father Henry worked for Oskar Schindler, the basis of Steven Spielberg's film Schindler's List. Given her family's history she has worked to ensure that "the disease of silence and indifference never be allowed to triumph" by empowering people to speak up and take action in the face of violence and hatred.

Throughout her career, Barbara has been an educator, businesswoman and a social entrepreneur. Prior to creating Champions of Caring, Barbara directed Eisenbud and Associates, a national physician and executive search company specializing in the healthcare industry. As a leader in this field, she lectured on human resource issues at national conferences. Her family legacy, coupled with her human resources and educational background and work with Champions of Caring have shaped her as a public speaker and provided her with many opportunities to share her message. She has addressed a variety of audiences locally, nationally and internationally to inspire people to live and leave their legacies by giving back to their communities.
